Repurposing a text means that it is rewritten or adapted for a different audience or purpose. Examples include:

  • using parts of an academic article to write an article that a layperson or readers (with no specialised knowledge of the subject matter) would understand

  • condensing a long article or leaflet into a brochure

  • changing the wording (not the message) to suit a different target reader (e.g. younger readers)
